I would differentiate a possible dream or fantasy from a valid OOBE because if you are truly out of your body you would be able to observe something which you are not physically present to observe and are then able to verify the truth of the observation.

Yes many times. Having an out of body experience isn't as strange a sensation as one might expect, at least not after having a couple. You get used to it and it feels completely natural.
