Greetings Reader and Welcome to the Rational Forum! Where thinkers, theistic or atheistic, spiritual or materialistic, or whatever else from across the vast spectrum of human beings gather!
Many have been invited or have just chanced upon the forum, so you may not know how to post, how to embed videos, how to insert images and so forth.
But luckily this guide is here just to help you! Or if you don't want to read the guide and you'd rather make things go BOOM or something and learn by the results, click here. Just try not to divide by zero.

Anyway:
HOW TO POST
Pretty self-explanatory but sure why not:
First you need to register.
Done?
Okay then, after you get into your e-mail inbox and click the activation link ProBoards sent you and submit the activation key (that will be automatically pasted into a blank box for you) you can log in successfully.
Now
You can make a new thread (red box) or go into the threads (blue boxes) and post replies.
POST FUNCTIONS
Which leads us to the functions of the posting page, only the important items within the red box will be covered, as the rest of the functions are self-explanatory:
Starting With The First Row (Left To Right):

Notes: You CAN combine the tags.
Like so (parentheses are just there for example; use brackets):
(u)(b)BOLDERTHANU(/b)(/u)
BOLDERTHANU
Or even more complicated:
(b)(i)(center)(color=Purple)BOLDERTHANU(/color)(/center)(/i)(b)
BOLDERTHANU
SECOND ROW (LEFT TO RIGHT):

NOTE: If you want to upload your pictures (not online) to posts, you can use the 'Choose File' option to attach the file OR, set up a quick account over at PhotoBucket and upload your pictures there which will automatically assign image urls to the pictures so you can use the image tags on the forums!
HOW TO QUOTE PROPERLY:
Do you like this:
te, scholars are working to randomly italicize different sections of the text, hoping the italics will land on the important parts and allow everyone to go on with their day. For now, though, millions of panicked and exhausted Americans continue to repetitively search the single column of print from top to bottom and right to left, looking for even the slightest semblance of meaning or perhaps a blurb.
Some have speculated that the never-ending flood of sentences may be a news article, medical study, urgent product recall notice, letter, user agreement, or even a binding contract of some kind. But until the news does a segment in which they take sections of the text and read them aloud in a slow, calm voice while highlighting those same words on the screen, no one can say for sure.
There are some, however, who remain unfazed by the virtual hailstorm of alternating consonants and vowels, and are determined to ignore it. "I'm sure if it's important enough, they'll let us know some other way," Detroit local Janet

Or this:
Hello I am X and I claim B
Hello X, I am Z, and I disagree with B.
Here's Y that proves B
Y is not a credible source.
And so on.
Quoting is important. Especially in forums like these. The more people post, the more you have to quote. So you have to know how to properly quote and clean up your posts so that your point gets across well and clearly. So obviously by now you know that you have to put content between the tags, but regarding quotes, it should primarily be OTHERS' words, not your own. It would be confusing to see this:
Hello I am X and I claim B
Hello X, I am Z, and I disagree with B.
Here's Y that proves B
Y is not a credible source.
You can find the quote button on the 2nd Row below 'Font Size' or you can manually add the tags yourself.
That's it.
Thanks for reading this basic guide! Anything you're curious about? Just go ahead and test it out.
