Feminists have this strange idea that women are equal to men. They're not, they're women. Men are generally good at some things, and women are generally good at other things. And I find it really unattractive when a woman tries to be like a man. Not only is it a turn off, but it's like she's saying that to be valid, she has to emulate a man. It's stupid.

I'm confused, are you saying women are inferior to men or what?

equal is not the same as the same.
Jim Morrison and Jimi Hendrix can be equally talented musicians, that doesn't mean they sound the same.

I think this is a good reason for any group to try to ensure there are some males and some females in their group. However some men think like women and some women think like men.

I think that depends on what sort of group you are talking about.
For some things a unisex group is more effective.
Traditionally a group of homosexual men was the best for special military operations.

I'm not a "burn your bra" feminist, but I do think that men and women are equal in value as human beings. For example, a man and a woman doing the same job should certainly get the same pay. However, men and women are different - we are designed to complement rather than compete with each other, IMO.

Equal in value, yes, but completely equal, no. The genders are complementary like Yin-Yang to form a whole unit, a mating pair.

Equal in value, yes, but completely equal, no. The genders are complementary like Yin-Yang to form a whole unit, a mating pair. a mating pair has only been considered a "whole unit" for a very brief period of time relative to human recorded history. For the majority of it the unit was a family, including grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. Different societies would have the man or woman join the other's family when there was a marriage but they did not, by marrying, create a new family.

From over 50 years of life experience I can say without any doubt that there are plenty of women out there who are just as clever and sensible as men. But clever sensible men far outnumber clever sensible women. I've had several women bosses in my life and they were mostly dumb clucks (boy could i tell you stories), they obviously only got the job because the companies they worked for didn't want to appear sexist by not having enough female managers. As for job interviews, if you're a man being interviewed by a woman forget it, you stand zero chance unless you're a Tom Cruise/ George Clooney lookalike.

Women are better people and men are better men.
America blew it big time with so called women's lib. It used to take one salary to raise a family. Now it takes two. And the bonus of having your babies, toddlers, and preschoolers raised in their most important formative years by some xxxxx working for minimum wage to keep her old man in 6 packs.

This is the sort of attitude I would expect from a Christian. There are many different sorts of Christian and they don't all think like that, honest! I'm a Christian, and whilst I believe that men and women are different, I believe that they are certainly equal in both value and intelligence (although they may well have generally different sorts of intelligence). That's broadly speaking, of course - there are plenty of exceptions that prove the rule. I remember reading some research somewhere that claimed that whilst there may be more men than women with genius level IQs, there are far more men than women with lower than average IQs. So it all balances out in the end! Mandy

I know there are plenty of non-sexist Christians, it's just that Sexism has become rather tightly associated with the religion, enough so that it is a stereotype that comes out being accurate more often than not.
